Fountains & Water Features
Bubbling boulders, spillways, and architectural fountains scaled from intimate courtyards to grand entryways.
The smallest feature we build is still designed for the spot it sits in.
A fountain lives or dies on placement. We look at where you approach from, what's behind it, and how the light hits at the end of the day — then pick a vessel and a height that holds that spot instead of getting lost in it.
Every one of them runs off a hidden basin buried under the gravel, so there's no open water and no standing maintenance. This is the easiest way to get the sound of water into a yard, and it's where a lot of our clients start.
What moves the number
- Vessel & size
- A drilled boulder, a slate urn, a basalt column — and how tall it stands.
- How many
- A single vessel, or a grouping sharing one hidden basin.
- Site access & power
- Getting the stone in place, and how far the nearest outlet is.
- Surround & lighting
- The stone and planting around the base, and lighting it after dark.
In every fountain we set
Even our smallest feature is a full install — not a vessel dropped on the lawn with a cord running to it.
- The vessel — drilled boulder, urn, column, or bowl
- Hidden AquaBasin reservoir, buried out of sight
- Pump sized to the vessel
- Plumbing and fittings
- Decorative gravel and stone surround
- Professional install, startup, and walkthrough

Bubbling boulders & urns
A single vessel over a hidden basin — a drilled boulder that looks like a natural spring, or a stacked-slate urn spilling over its rim. Our most common first project.
- Single vessel
- 18–24 in.
- Patio or entry scale
$5k–$8kMost of our builds
Groupings & statement vessels
Three basalt columns at staggered heights, a cluster of bubbling boulders sharing one basin, or a single tall urn with real presence. Composition rather than accent.
- Groupings of 2–3
- Up to 45 in. tall
- Ready for lighting
$8k+Architectural
Spillway walls & entry features
A built feature rather than a placed one — a crisp sheet descent down a stone wall, or a formal composition scaled to a driveway entry or a courtyard.
- Custom stonework
- Sheet-descent walls
- Entry scale
Every figure includes the vessel, the hidden reservoir, pump, plumbing, stone surround, and startup — installed and running. Design and consultation are always free.
